David Vock - Partner & Managing Director at Van Marselis Hartsinck

David Vock

Partner and Managing Director
David started in 2024 as a Partner and Managing Director at VMH Asset Management.

Prior to VMH Asset Management, he was an Executive Director of Credit Suisse / UBS in the Global External Asset Management Business Area, based in Zurich. David began his journey as a Private Client Advisor at Swiss Regional Banks before joining Credit Suisse back in August 2010. After some valuable years in operations, where he learned how a large global bank functions, David joined the business with Global Independent Asset Managers and their HNWI/UHNWI clients. Having worked in this field for more than 10 years, he gained extensive know-how & experience when it comes to serving entrepreneurs throughout the value chain, starting from individual investment and asset management strategies to complex financing.

David is a Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA) and holds a BSc in Economics and Business Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship. He learned the wealth management business from scratch, first as an Assistant Relationship Manager and later as a Senior Relationship Manager, covering clients predominantly based in Germany and the Netherlands.

Manuel started in 2024 as a Partner and Managing Director at VMH Asset Management.

Prior to VMH Asset Management, he was an Executive Director of Credit Suisse / UBS in the Global External Asset Management Business Area, based in Zurich. Manuel began his journey with Credit Suisse back in February 2012 and having worked in the business with Independent Wealth Managers and their HNWI/UHNWI clientele only, he gained extensive know-how & experience in this field.

Manuel is a Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA). He learned the wealth management business from scratch, first as an Assistant Relationship Manager and later by developing into a Relationship Manager role, covering clients predominantly based in Western Europe and the Nordics. After that, Manuel was leading various desks for Credit Suisse, both in Luxembourg & Zurich, being responsible for the markets UK, Middle East & South Africa. Finally, he headed the Global Business Development franchise for Credit Suisse in the External Asset Management division.

Paul started at VMH in 2020 as a Partner and Managing Director. Now he acts as an External Advisor to VMH Asset Management.

Prior to VMH Asset Management, he was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the International Wealth Management division, based in Zurich. As a Strategic Client Partner, he was responsible for the coverage and development of selected strategic European Ultra High Net Worth Clients & European Family Offices of the bank, with a special focus on Germany and the Benelux countries. Prior to Credit Suisse, he held the position of Vice-Chairman Wealth Management Europe at UBS.

This after a 20-year career in wealth management at Morgan Stanley in New York, Amsterdam and Zurich. At Morgan Stanley, he was a Managing Director responsible for all Benelux activities and member of the management team. Paul entered the financial industry in 1986 and held positions in the institutional research department at JP Morgan in New York and Amsterdam and at Pierson Heldring & Pierson, Amsterdam (institutional equity sales).

Paul studied business economics (Tilburg University) and is a certified EFFAS financial analyst (VBA/European CFA equivalent).

Joost joined VMH Asset Management in 2024 as Chairman of the Board.

He started his career with DSM in 1987, after his chemistry studies at the University of Utrecht. During the 90’s Joost mainly worked as an oil trader after which he joined the refining company Petroplus in 1999 as Director Corporate Strategy.

After the successful IPO of Petroplus in 2006, Joost joined the family office of Marcel van Poecke, AtlasInvest, in which he focused on direct investments in the energy sector. In 2013 AtlasInvest partnered with the private equity firm Carlyle to run CIEP (Carlyle International Energy Partners). In 2015 Joost became a partner within Carlyle, holds various board seats in their portfolio and is still involved as a senior advisor as of today.

Liesbeth became a Board Member of VMH Asset Management in 2024.

She has diverse backgrounds in education, communications and project management within the construction and interior design sector. Liesbeth holds a BSc in education and a MSc degree in Cultural History (Art history and media) of the University of Amsterdam.  

As the spouse of the founder of Van Marselis Hartsinck AG, Liesbeth has a unique insight into the company's history, values, and long-term vision. She is passionate about supporting its continued growth and success, while maintaining its commitment to multi generational wealth management.

Joost joined VMH Asset Management in 2024 as Chairman of the Board.
